State karate team reach Delhi

Manipur State Karate team which will take part in the 14th All India Independence Cup Karate Championship 2018 reached Delhi today, said a press release issued by Manipur Amateur Karate-Do Association (MAKA).
The championship organised by the Seiko Kai International, India and Bharat Karate Academy at Talkatora Indoor Stadium will begin tomorrow and run till 12 of this month.
The karatekans (selected by Manipur Amateur Karate-Do Association) who will represent Manipur at the championship are Pratik Dahal, Thohenba Naorem, Aryaansh Gupta, Kushwaha Kartikeya, Menon Ruhan, H Piba Nganba, M Tomthin Nganba and Ankit Prasad in the junior category; Sh John, S Suresh and H Rahul in the cadet category and Th Thoungamba, W Lanchenba Luwang, N Sanathoi, Md Amir Khan, Keinou Bilkish Mehedi and W Bebishwori Chanu in the senior categories.
The team which will take part in Kumite and Kata events of the championship were led by Sempai Omesh Maimom as assistant coach, Sensei N Surjit Singh as coach and Shihan Mutum Bankim Singh as referee cum coach.
