Changnhe, LBFC storm into Cdl veteran football semifinals

Imphal, June 09 2022: Changnhe Veteran and Lamkang Brothers FC eased into the semifinals of the 2nd Veteran Football Tournament on Thursday at Sports Complex, Chandel.

Changnhe Veteran came back from a goal down to outscore Chakpi Veteran FC 3-1 en route to the last four.

Hl Lutharson put Chakpi Veteran ahead in the 11th minute but Konthang drew level for Changnhe in the 23rd minute.

10 minutes later, Changnhe turned the tables on their opponents with Konthang scoring his second goal before Phamseh extended the advantage in the 62nd minute to see their side clinch a convincing 3-1 win on their way to the semifinals.

Lamkang Brothers FC, meanwhile, booked their place in the semifinals with a 3-0 drubbing of New Wangparal FC.

Sk Bungthot started the rout with a 16th-minute opener as Sn Dartin doubled the lead in the 59th minute before Th Rengshel closed out the contest with a 65th-minute strike.

Both semifinal matches will take place on June 11 with Changnhe Veteran taking on SS Mohring MT at 12 pm and Lamkang Brothers FC meeting Slumber Boots at 2 pm.

The final match will be played on June 14 .
