Imphal, January 08 2019: YWC, Langthabal rode on Kumarjit's ton to seal a 19 run victory over NAPSA yesterday in the second Group A league match of the ongoing 3rd T Subol Memorial Veteran Cricket Tournament at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam.

YWC won the toss and opted to bat first before Kumarjit take on the NAPSA bowlers and blasted off 101 runs off 46 balls to post a target of 200 runs losing 4 wickets.

Umakanta (31), Sachikumar (27) and Gojendro (27, not out) also played well to help YWC post an imposing target.

Ratan, Keshorejit and Bhogen of NAPSA were able to take one wicket each in this innings.

In reply, NAPSA put up a good show but missed the celebration as they bundled out for 180 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.

Ratan top-scored for the team striking 95 runs off 41 balls while Simon added 33 runs in 25 balls.

Somorendro also contributed 19 runs in this innings for NAPSA.

Kumarjit who led th� batting front for YWC-L picked up two wickets in the second innings and rightfully claimed the man of the match title while Premananda and Rojesh claimed one wicket each.

In the Group B league matches played on January 6, CHAMP romped to a 6 wicket win over DSU while LCCC posted a 23 run win against MODEL CLUB.
