Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament SCCC, PTRC register wins on second day

Imphal, January 08 2018:
SCCC, Singjamei and PTRC, Patsoi registered wins in today's matches of the Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament organised by Langthabal Sporting Club at Langthabal Public Ground under the aegis of Manipur Cricket Association.
The first match of the day saw SCCC beat PSC, Khuyathong by 65 runs.
The Singjamei side won the toss and elected to bat first.
SCCC posted a total of 176 runs for 5 in 20 overs.
Man of the match, Gajendra led the batting front scoring highest for his team.
He scored 42 runs off 25 balls.
Washim Akram followed him with 39 runs from 23 balls while Borish also scored 34 runs facing 33 balls.
Thembi of PSC took 3 wickets in four overs while Rakesh of the same team claimed 2 wickets in 4 overs.
In reply, PSC could managed to score 111 runs for seven in 20 overs.
Kishan who led the bowling side played a crucial role in hampering PSC run chase by taking 3 wickets in three overs.
Denim and Wasim Akram also registered 1 wickets each in their name.
Bungoraj was highest scorer for PSC with 22 runs from 37 balls.
Michael scored 15 runs facing 12 balls while Rakesh who faced 16 balls scored 11 runs for the losing side.
The second match was played between YWC, Patsoi and PTRC, Patsoi in which the latter team chased the target set by YWC in 18.2 overs with 7 wickets in the hand.
YWC which won the toss and batted first, piled up an easy target of 95 runs for 6 in 20 overs.
Rex and Alfred of the Patsoi side took two wickets each in 4 overs while Dipu and Bidash claimed 1 each.
Gosh scored the highest for YWC (25 runs off 50 balls) while Rustum and Arpit made 16 and 14 runs each by facing 6 balls and 22 balls respectively.
In response, Johny scored 23 runs off 36 balls and stayed in the field not out till the end .
Johnson who also stuck to the final ball scored 16 runs from 19 balls and Jotin made 12 runs in 32 balls for his team.
They scored 95 runs leaving the target of 93 runs behind in 18.2 overs and romped to a 7 wicket victory.
