Imphal, November 07 2024: Today was the second day of the East Zone Inter University Men's Badminton Tournament 2024-25 being held at Indoor Stadium, Khuman Lampak.

Here are the results of the matches on Day 2 of the tournament, being organised by the National Sports University, Imphal--

Match No 13 was played on Court No l between BRA Bihar (BRAB) and Fakir Mohan University (FMU), Odisha.

In the first singles match, Sameer Raj of BRAB beat Nilamadaba Das of FMU 21-7 and 21-11 .

Md Tabrez of BRAB beat Subham Sahu of FMU 21-10, 21-10 in the second singles match.

In the doubles, Amrit Raj and Raj Aryan of BRAB beat Jagdish Kumar Samudra and Saddab Quadri of FMU 21-7, 21-6 and advanced to next round of the tournament.

Match No 14 was to be played between Dr CV Raman University and LN Mithila University but Dr CV Raman University players didn't show up giving away a walkover win.

Match No 15 was played between Magadh University and BN University.

In the first singles match, Satish Kumar of Magadh University beat Raj Kumar of BN University 21-10, 21-8 .

In the second singles, Mohit Raj of Magadh University beat Ravi Ranjan Vats of BN University 21-14, 21-14 .

In the doubles, Mohit Raj and Satish Kumar of Magadh University beat Raj Kumar and Ravi Ranjan Vats of BN University 21-8 and 2-8 and advanced to the next round.

Match No 16 was played at Court No 4 between Berhanpur University (BU) and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Vishwavidyalaya (ABVV) .

In the first singles match, Manas Bhattacharya of ABVV beat Rudra Pratap Samantha of BU 21-11, 32-13 .

In the second match Dhiraj Khatri of ABVV beat Abhinash Muni of BU 21-13, 21-18 .

In the doubles, Dhiraj Khatri and Manas Bhattacharya of ABVV beat Abhinash Muni and Sameer Ghanta of BU 21-17, 18-21, 22-20 and the duo advanced to the next round.

Maharaj Suhel Dev University won the Match No 17 against Mizoram University by a walkover.

Match 18 was played at Court No 2 between (SMU) Sikkim and ICFAI University.

In the first singles match, Arunodoy Banerjee of SMU beat Anmol Saha of the ICFAI 21-10, 21-16 .

Naorem Anup Singh of SMU beat Bikramjit Nath of the ICFAI 21-12, 21-10 in the second match.

In the doubles, the pair of Arunodoy Banarjee and Prasurjya Thakuria for SMU beat Anmol Saha and Rudra Samantha Paul for ICFAI 21-12, 21-14, and the duo advanced to the next round.

Match No 19 was played between Pt Ravishankar Shukla University (PTRSU) and The Assam Royal Global University (TSRGU) .

In the first singles match, Lukesh Ku Yadav of PTRSU beat Vikuozo Hubert Pienyu of TSRGU 21-14 and 21-14 .

In the second match, Rudra Yadav of PTRSU beat Rajkumar Kartik Khuman of TSRGU 21-10 and 21-12 .

In the doubles, Lukesh Ku Yadav and Rudra Yadav of PTRSU beat Dinesh Shah and Vikuozo Hubert Pienyu of TSRGU 21-11, 21-10 .

Match No 20 was between UST Meghalaya and Burdwan University (BU) .

In the first singles, Mahendra Murmu of BU beat Tania Tagam of UST 21-17, 22-24, 21-15 .

In the second match, Rajababu Yadav of UST beat Arup Talukdar 21-15, 15-21, 21-19 .

In the doubles, Arpan Mishra and Mahendra Murmu of BU beat Dekam Yomgam and Tania Tagam of UST 21-12, 21-16 .

In the 3rd singles match, Dekham Yomgam of UST beat Brishank Todwal of BU 17-21, 21-15, 21-9 .

In the second doubles--the deciding match, Arup Talukdar and Snehasish Dutta of BU beat Aridam Roy and Rajababu Yadav of UST 21-12, 21-14 .

Sambalpur University, Odisha won match No 23 against Patna University, Bihar by walkover.
