USWC Volleyball : UCL to meet MIKHYA in ultimate clash

Imphal, April 07 2019: UCL will be facing MIKHYA, Mayang Imphal in the final of the 2nd Inter Village Volleyball Tournament organised by Uchiwa United Students' Welfare Club, Uchiwa Awang Leikai under the aegis of All Manipur Volleyball Association since April 1 .

UCL sealed the final berth today beating HVA, Heigrujam in straight sets (32-30, 25-21, 25-18) .

MIKHYA also had an easy semi-final win as they overcame SYDC, Satudai 25-22, 25-19, 25-22 to secure the final berth.

SYDC reached the semifinal stage with a convincing 25-18, 25-22, 41-39 win in the first quarter final match staged earlier.

HVA also entered the last four round with a 3-1 sets win against KLYGC, Kamong.

HVA lost the second set but made a beautiful comeback and wrapped up the game 25-14, 25-27, 28-26, 25-18 .

In the third quarter final match, UCL edge out ADC by 3-1 sets to set up semifinal clash with HVA, Heikrujam.

UCL had a poor start to the game but made a huge return to finish the game 20-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-17 .

Meanwhile MIKH-YA reached the semi-final with a 25-22, 25-19, 25-22 thrashing of RYC, Moidampok in the last quarter final match.
