NAPSA, CDCC win big; KSDO, Al-Ameen also prevail

Imphal, December 06 2024:
NAPSA and CDCC recorded identical 7-wicket victories, while KSDO and Al-Ameen also carried the day in Friday's action of the 9th MNCA Plate Tournament 2024-25 .
NAPSA vs RRCC:
At the Lairenjam Public Ground, NAPSA delivered a commanding performance to overpower RRCC by 7 wickets.
Opting to bowl first, NAPSA dismantled the RRCC batting lineup, restricting them to a meagre 56 in 16.2 overs.
The bowling duo of Albert Sorokhaibam and Heisnam Boney proved devastating, each claiming four wickets.
Rocky Yumnam provided additional support with a wicket, while only Moirangthem Rameshwor (13) and Md Irfan Khan (12) managed to reach double figures for RRCC.
Chasing a modest target, NAPSA achieved victory in just 8 overs, losing three wickets in the process.
Bipin Singh Ningthoujam top-scored with a brisk 27, while Heisnam Boney contributed 15.L Pravin Kumar was the lone bright spot for RRCC, taking all three wickets in a valiant effort.
CDCC vs RULE:
CDCC also displayed dominance, registering a comprehensive 7-wicket win over RULE at the Model Hr Secondary & Oriental College Ground.
Electing to field first, CDCC bowled out RULE for 129 in 33.2 overs.
The bowling attack was spearheaded by Khursid Alam and Fm Sharif, who each claimed four wickets.
Thoudam Monet and Mutum Jodiba chipped in with a wicket apiece.
RULE'S batting struggled, with only Jay Singh contributing significantly with a score of 33.CDCC chased down the target in 27.2 overs, led by an unbeaten 56 from Md Ataur Rahaman.
Contributions from Thoudam Monet (27) and Kshetrimayum Robert (17 not out) solidified their victory, despite the loss of three wickets-two to Nongthombam Sarojkumar and one to Nepram Richer.
KSDO vs OSCAR:
At Cherapur, KSDO secured a 5-wicket victory against OSCAR in a low-scoring contest.
Batting first, OSCAR were bundled out for a paltry 83 in 20.2 overs, thanks to exceptional bowling from Lakimbur and Md Shah Jahan, who both picked up four wickets.
Rd Riyajuddin also contributed with a wicket.
In reply, KSDO reached the target in 14.1 overs, losing five wickets along the way.
Abdul Rafique top-scored with 35, supported by Nawaz Sharif (21) and Tarique Aziz (11 not out).
OSCAR's Sorokhaibam Samson and Da Ratan took two wickets each, while Zenith Nongmaithem claimed one.
Al-Ameen vs PSC:
At Moijing Public Ground (Thoubal), Al-Ameen posted a 47-run victory over PSC.
Batting first, Al-Ameen amassed 242/4, with key contributions from Md Raeesh Khan (75), Boboicha Singh Thokchom (56), and Md Safwan Khan (34).PSC, despite a fighting 63 from Gautam Soubam and an unbeaten 31 from Ningthoujam Sudarson, were bowled out for 195 in 34.1 overs.
Najarul Islam starred with the ball for Al-Ameen, taking four wickets, while FM Sakil Ahamed bagged three.
Md Karim and Habibullah Ahammed claimed one wicket each to secure the win.
