Imphal, September 02 2011: An injury time goal by Th Vandona off a defence splitting pass from N Sushil ensured maximum point for NEROCA, Sangakpham in its third match of the 6th Manipur State League football tournament played today at Khuman Lampak Main stadium.

The all important goal by Vandona helped NEROCA cruise past SSU, Singjamei by a solitary goal and was the Sangakpham side's second victory in the competition after its 3-1 win over YWC in the campaign opener and 1-0 defeat to TRAU.

On the otherhand, SSU remain winless in the league competition having drawn both its previous matches � 2-2 against AIM and 1-1 against USA.

In the opening match of the Imphal East Senior Women's football league tournament played at the same venue earlier in the afternoon, Okram Chuthek side NYThC defied ESU, Wangkhei to emerge 3-2 winners.

T Nungshitombi (54th), Ksh Ngoubi (62nd) and S Tejibala (78th) scored the NYThC goals while Mandakini netted the ESU goals in the 58th and 74th minutes.

Inter-college football: N Birahari College, Khundrakpam defeated Kh Manipur College, Kakching 3-2 in the opening match of the A Pratap Singh Memorial Inter College Football tournament at Khundrakpam today.

W Narendra (5th, 59th) and Khem Bahadur (21st) scored for the hosts with Y Anilkumar scoring the Kha Manipur goals in the 51st and 55th minutes.

In all teams from 14 colleges are participating in the knock-out tournament organised under the aegis of Manipur University.

Bishnupur: LFC, Ngaikhong Khunou and Moirang Part-II Youth Association split points after a 1-1 draw in today's match of the 9th N Balananda Memorial Division II (Bishnupur) football league tournament being held at Mini Stadium, Bishnupur.

D Dishilung's 44th minute goal for LFC was neutralised by M John in the 60th minute.
