CCpur, May 02 2019: The Rayburn FC were crowned champions of the second Lamka Core Futsal tournament on Wednesday, after it overcame the other finalist Apoisekei FC 5-1.The tournament, which started on March last week, was organised by Lamka Core and held at the Rayburn High School campus.

A total of 93 matches were played within a span of 25 days by 60 teams drawn from across the district.

At the finals, Rayburn FC dominate the match from the start taking the scoreline to 3-1 at halftime.

They continue to swing the match in their favour as they added two more into their scoreline taking the total to 5, even as they mange to limit the scores of their opponent to one which was netted before halftime.

The champions have taken a cash award of 40,000 besides a rolling trophy and certificates.

The runners up receive half the champions money.

Cleaven Hmar (Rayburn FC) was awarded the best player (Core Player) award, and Dhara Darngawn (Apoisekei FC), received the best goal keeping award.

The top scorer award was shared between K Thanggoulian (Anisubah FC) and K Lalrintluanga (TMI) .
