SCCC post narrow 1 wicket win against ESU

Imphal, February 02 2020: SCCC, Singjamei held their nerves to earn a 1 wicket win against ESU, Wangkhei today in the ongoing 3rd Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament organised by Langthabal Sporting Club at Langthabal Public Ground.

ESU posted a modest target of 121 runs for all wickets down in 19.2 overs after electing to bat first and were on the cusp of a win at some point but SCCC played sensibly to clinch their third win at the tournament.

Shivajit (30), Ronson (29) and Mehul (15) got their names on the scoresheet in ESU's innings which saw Borish of SCCC claim three wickets.

Sana of SCCC also took two wickets in this innings as Sandeep managed a wicket.

SCCC then rode on Robinson's knock of 35 runs off 19 balls and Nanao's 33 off 20 balls to collect 124 runs for 9 in 19.4 overs and earn the narrow win.

Mehul of ESU also bowled well to notch up three wickets and Surjit and Sanker fetched two wickets apiece to give SCCC a torrid time in the chase but their effort fell short to contain their rivals.

Sana of SCCC was named man of the match for his 2 wicket haul and contribution of 12 runs in the chase.
