Ngangba FC, Hiyai FA romp in 5-a-side football tourney

Imphal, July 01 2022: Ngangba FC (A) and Hiyai FA (B) recorded easy wins in the 1st Basanta Memorial Football Tournament 2022, a 5-a-side event for boys, on Friday at Football Turf, Chingarel, Tepur.

In the first match, Ngangba FC (A) inflicted a heavy 7-1 defeat on Bung FC.

W Langamba scored a hat-trick and O Tolen, Th Chingthongamba, Rison and Geetan contributed one goal each to propel their side to an emphatic victory.

Ng Thoi was the only scorer for Bung FC.

Hiyai FA (B) too enjoyed an easy day with a 6-1 drubbing of Endeavour SS.

Two goals from Rimoson and one each from Mamesh, Cheton, Tomthin and Yohenba wrapped up the Hiyai FA's resounding win.

The losing side got their consolation goal via an own goal by Hiyai FA's Mamesh.
