Imphal, January 31 2022: The All Andro Mahila Mandal Association Football Club (AAMMA FC) got off to a winning start at YWC ground Thambalkhong today in the Baby Suchitra Memorial Junior Girls Football League Tournament being organised by IEDFA.

AAMMA were trailing behind by a goal till the break as UPSA's Naorem Henarita found the breakthrough at the stroke of the half hour mark but clawed back in the latter half to seal a 2-1 comeback win.

Having struggled for most of the opening half, the Andro team made a resounding comeback in the second half and pulled level via M Ichan in the 48th minute, a minute before which Noarem Henarita got a red card and expelled.

With the morale boosting equaliser, AAMMA were seen dominating the possession and creating a series of chances.

UPSA, who were too in search of the lead, withstood pressure for a while but Ph Abema dug deep to break through their defence and scored the winner for AAMMA at the stroke of the hour mark.

Ph Abema was also yellow carded in the 69th minute of the match.

YWC, Thambalkhong will play UPSA, Pukhao in the next match on February 2 .
