AR to organise Bob Khathing's memorial sports week

Ukhrul, January 31 2017: 27 AR under the aegis of HQ 10 Sector Assam Rifles is all set to organise Late Bob Khathing sports week in collaboration with Ukhrul District Sport Association (UDSA) in remembrance and commemoration of Late Major Bob Khathing's 105th anniversary at his birth place, Ukhrul from Feb 18 .

A choral competition for music loving youth of the district will also be held in association with ECHOES School of Music Tuning Arts, Ukhrul.

According to Major Prateek, competitions will be held in different sporting events like football for men and volleyball for girls.

All interested clubs in Ukhrul district are welcome to participate in the sports week.

Kick off ceremony will be held on Feb 18 and closing ceremony will be held on Feb 24 .

Paying of homage and wreath laying programme will held on Feb 28 .

The Assam Rifles urged the district civil organizations and Churches leaders to extend utmost co-operation for the success of the programme.
