31st Junior Inter Club Football : Comfortble wins for SWC and ESU

Imphal, December 31 2019: SWC, Khongman thumped RAFA 3-0 as ESU, Wangkhei trounced KYVO, Kwasiphai by 5-0 goals in today's Group A league matches of the ongoing 31st Junior Inter Club Football Tournament organised by All Manipur Football Association.

In the first match of the day, SWC scored all three goals in the first half through S Robinson (23'), Md Anash Alam (29') and Shitaljit (31') against RAFA to earn their first win in four matches having suffered two loses before playing out a goalless draw with KYVO in the previous match.

Meanwhile ESU clinched their third win on the trot by drubbing KYVO 5-0.ESU took off the game on a bright note and eased to win 2-0 lead till the break with L Ngouba Singh and Sh Rajdon adding a goal apiece in the 32nd and the 35th minutes.

Arif Hussain then grabbed the team's third goal in the 42nd minute as KYVO were never in the contest and Sh Rajson Singh completed his double in the 63rd minute to make it 4-0 before Thumcal Tongsin drove home the final goal during the stoppage time (70+2') .

In yesterday's Group B league matches, NEROCA FC carved out a 4-2 win against Ideal FC while IFC were held to a 1-1 draw by SFC.

Altogether 10 teams from across Manipur are taking part in this tournament.
