RRCC defeat KIYC by 5 runs in MNCA Plate Tournament

Imphal, July 30 2022: RRCC (Churachandpur) beat KIYC (Kshetrigao) by 5 runs in a Group B match of the 6th MNCA Plate Tournament at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Electing to bat, RRCC were all out for 200 in 35.5 overs.

Louriyam Elan led the in nings with a fine knock of 70 as Haojalen Kipgen scored 29 and P Kamzamang Zou made 27, with contributions from Ningthoujam Shvamsunder (14) and Thangkhopao (14) .

KIYC faltered in their ntn chase and fell five runs short of their target, despite good efforts by Md Abdul Hamid (40), Md Kurban Khan (38), Najir Ali (31), Md Abdulla Khan (27) and Aneesh Ahmed (22) .

Pankaj Hazarika and Louriyam Elan claimed 2 wickets each as Sahil Kumar and Thangkhopao chipped in with one apiece in the Churachandpur side's thrilling victory.

Earlier.

Md Abdulla Khan scalped 4 wickets, Md Abdul Hamid bagged 3 ami Md Aman took 2 for KIYC.

Louriyam Elan claimed the man of the match title.

On Sunday.

SSL will face UCC while WYC(P) play YAC.
