Cuttack beat Manipur in Indian Women League

Eastern Sporting Union (ESU), Manipur suffered a 2-1 defeat in the hands of Rising Club, Cuttuck today in the final round of the Indian Women League which underwent at Dr Ambedkar Stadium, New Delhi.
ESU opened its goal account in the eighth minute of the match through G Radharani Devi.
The Manipur team went ahead from the Rising Student Club making the Cuttack team unable to level the score till the first half.
However, Samita Mallick of Rising Club levelled the score in the 52nd minute.
Both the teams remained tied for long time despite making their best attempts to score for their respective teams.
It was L Ashalata Devi of the Rising Club who broke the deadlock as she scored against ESU in the 83rd minute and made her team win the match.
ESU, Wangkhei and AFC, Pune will lock horns in the next match on February 2 at 2 pm.
The tournament which began from January 28 last is being organized under the aegis of All India Football Federation and will conclude on February 14 .
