10th Manipur State Football League 2015 : FC Zalen, USA trounce rival teams

Imphal, October 27 2015: FC Zalen Sadar Hills thrashed TRAU TRAU Kwakeithel 2-1 in the 10th Manipur State Football League 2015 played at Mapal Kangjeibung on Tuesday.

The opening goal for the match was scored by TRAU's S Herojit in the 11th minute of the match after he converted a beautiful header into a goal from a pass by L Amit.

Though the account was opened by TRAU, FC Zalen equalized the margin in 10 minutes by Patrick Kamei through a superb free kick in the 21st minute of the match.

FC Zalen did not take much time to regain form and came back strongly.

In the 30th minute, Seikhaohao Tuboi converted a pass from Kh Jibon into a goal.

With the one lead secured by FC Zalen, TRAU made possible effort to reverse the fortune.

It however failed and the match ended in FC Zalen's favour.

With this win, FC Zalen has now garnered 18 points while TRAU stood at 13 .

In the second match, USA Khurai beat NACO Nambulmapal 1-0.USA registered the victory in the last part of the second half as the two teams failed to make any headway for netting goals against each other till the 80 plus minute of the match.

The goal was scored Kh Sanjoy in the 90+4 minute of the match through an excellent header off a direct kick by K Kiran.

The solitary goal sealed the fate of NACO.

USA won the match 1-0 .
