KDC football team feted

Chandel, July 24 2014: Kapaam Development Club (KDC) feted its football team during a function held at Thomas memorial Hall in Kapaam on July 22 .

The football team of the club was feted for its success in various competitions during 2012- 13 .

On the same day, the executives of the club who have not only held position but also led the club to shine during their tenure were also given a befitting farewell party.

CNPO President Ws Kanral Anal attended the event as chief guest.

Other dignitaries on the dias included advisor of KDC and former president of BAP Upa R Jindashing,.

Pastor of KBCH Rev Amorshing Khartu and Governing Body Secretary of SEMCO Ng Koshing.

R Rungden was honoured as the 'young promising player of the club', W Dinesh for winning the best goal keeper title and Ng Bedeenpaar for the top scorer award.

Gyan Moyon, a team member of Jagjit Cotton Mills, Punja and many more teams at the national level was also mentioned and honoured for his key role in imparting training and bringing up his parent club KDC to the present status.

It may be noted here that KDC recently lifted the championship trophy of the 1st Sulam Cup 2014, which was their second success of the year after finishing second in United Football club football tournament held at Molnoi.

In 2013, they won the runner up trophies in two separate tournaments, one in the Chingtam area football tournament organised by Chingtam Area Association at Bijoypur and the other the 1st Winter Cup organised by Unapal Sporting Assn.

Moreover, in 2012, KDC emerged champion in the Kapaam area warm-up league organised by them and clinched two other runner-up titles in the same year.
