1st Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament SCCC, CHAMP emerge victorious

SCCC, Singjamei and CHAMP, Khagempalli today secured huge wins in their respective league matches of the 1st Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament which is currently underway at Langthabal Public Ground.
The tournament is organised by Langthabal Sporting Club under the aegis of Manipur Cricket Association.
In the Group A league match played today, SCCC produced an immense bowling performance to hold YWC, Patsoi at a record 24 runs in the first inning.
Man of the match, Denin's four-for tremendously helped SCCC, Singjamei to enjoy the 9 wicket victory over YWC, Patsoi in this match.
YWC who won the toss and elected to bat first had to leave with a dismal result as they could manage to pile up a paltry 24 runs for all wickets down in 11 overs.
Amarjit, Thoi and Ngango scored two runs each to emerge best scorer while other batsmen had to return back to the pavilion being ducked or scored singles.
SCCC, Singjamei chased the target in just 3.2 overs with one wicket down.
Kishan of SCCC alone hit 18 runs off 12 balls while Ulenyai contributed 7 runs in 8 balls to give their team an overwhelming 9 wicket victory.
Amarjit of YWC, Patsoi who bowled 2 overs took the single wicket in the second inning.
In the Group C league match staged today, CHAMP, Khagempalli secured a huge 122 run victory against PTCC.
PTCC were made to rue their decision to bowl first as Sunil Chouhan of CHAMP blasted an outstanding 73 runs in 37 balls.
Kenedy and Arpit Rao then went into the field and fetched 28 and 27 runs to help their team gather a total of 193 runs for 4 in the first inning.
Madhav of CHAMP also contributed 23 runs facing 22 balls.
Sumanta of PTCC dismissed two in this inning while Sadananda and Sohel picked one wicket each.
In reply, PTCC's batsmen could not create an impression and slumped at just 71 runs for all wicket down in 18.1 overs.
The Khagempalli side not only proved supreme in batting today but also exhibited a superb bowling feat to dismiss the rivals' batsmen.
Madhav of CHAMP who picked 5 wickets lead in dismantling PTCC's chase in the midway while Kabir also claimed 2 wickets in this inning.
Sultan and Sunil also took one wicket each to help their side to romp to a 122 run victory.
