Imphal, March 23 2025: MPSC-B will lock horns with defending champions X-Polo Club in the title clash of the 36th N Hazari and Dr N Tombi State Polo Tournament on March 25 at 2 pm.

X-Polo Club sealed their place in the final with a 13-12 win over Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club in a closely fought semi-final encounter this afternoon thanks to L Atangba's 10-goal feat.

S Saolin meanwhile scored 7 goals alone for the Thangmeiband side but his effort went in vain as they suffered the narrow 11-12 loss.

Thangmeiband Youth PC capped the first chukker with a 2-1 lead as S Saolin scored twice against one added by Th Santosh for X-Polo Club.

X-Polo Club however turned things around in the second chukker with L Atangba scoring four goals alone against S Saolin's two for Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club.

Thangmeiband Youth PC rode on a goal apiece from S Saolin, M Chaoba, K Yaikhomba and K Jogendra to take a 8-7 lead as L Atangba added two more goals to X-Polo Club's tally.

The last chukker saw Th Santosh adding twice and L Atangba scoring four more goals to set up the 13-12 win for X-Polo Club as S Saolin added twice and M Chaoba and K Jogendra scored a goal each for the Thangmeiband team.

The second semi-final match was also a neck to neck competition but MPSC-B emerged 5-4 winners against Black Watch PC .

Neither team found the target in the opening chukker but five goals came up in the second chukker as Th Nongpoknganba and A Alex added a goal apiece for Black Watch PC against three added by T Pradeep for MPSC-B .

Th Nongpoknganba and A Alex also netted a goal each in the third chukker against one added by S Bimol for MPSC-B to make it 4-4 before S Abungcha's 2nd minute goal in the fourth chukker made all the difference and handed MPSC-B a 5-4 victory.
