Chandel 2nd Divn League : Khongjon YC, Japhou YC post contrasting wins

Imphal, February 22 2020: Khongjon YC and Japhou YC emerged victorious in today's league matches of the ADC Trophy 2nd Division Football League 2019-20 being organised by DSA Chandel at Liwa Sarei ground.

In the third Group C league match of the tournament, Japhou YC which played out a 2-2 draw with Cheengkhu YC in their earlier fixture, came out stronger to secure an emphatic 6-1 victory against Chandel Christian YC.

Kh Alwinson (26', 50', 62') shone in the match as he scored thrice and Sh Alfred struck a brace (30', 45') after W Helky scored the second goal for Japhou YC in the 28th minute.

The lone goal of Chandel Christian YC was scored by KL Wolchand in the 66th minute.

Meanwhile, Khongjon Youth Club earned their second win in Group D league round by beating Monsang Pantha YCC thanks to Fedrick Tungdim goal in the 21st minute.

There will be no match tomorrow.
