Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 held

Imphal, August 21 2021:
As a part of the celebration of 75th year of India's Independence, Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Fit India Freedom 2.0 organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Imphal West was flagged off at Kangla Western Gate by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Nelson Yumnam today.
In a press release issued by Deputy Director of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Lisam Marjitkumar Singh informed that the programme will continue in 75 villages of Imphal West till October 2, 2021 .
The main purpose of the programme is to have a healthy lifestyle by the citizens of India and appealed all to indulge in physical exercise at least half an hour daily for a healthy body.
During the flag off ceremony, Fit India pledge was also administered by the Additional Deputy Commissioner to the participating youths and national anthem was also sung by the participants.
The run ended at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband, added the press release.
