Tampi FC beat Liwa in Chandel Super League

Imphal, July 21 2022: Tampi FC started their campaign a convincing 2-0 win over Liwa Sarei YC on the second day of the Chan del Super Division Football League at Liwa Sarei Ground.

Chandel, on Thursday.

The Tampi squad secured an early breakthrough when ST Zeddi took a well timed pass before he created a space, dodging the opposition defence, to drill home the opener in the 5th minute.

After conceding.

Liwa Sarei reorganised and went on the offensive to keep Tampi busy defending their goal.

It was frustrating for the Liwa Sarei side as Tampi were resolute in their defence and the latter suddenly changed tactics with counter attacks that proved rewarding.

In a goalmouth tussle, NL Kawlun was on band to slot home the ball in the 37th minute and put Tampi FC 2-0 .

The Tampi side never relinquished their 2-0 in the ensuing minutes of exchanges to collect all three points.

Meanwhile.

Anbilish Trust FC were given a walkover against New Wangparal YC.
