Imphal, May 21 2015 : FC Imphal, Mayaikoibi entered into the final of the 17th Challenge Cup Veteran Football Tournament being played under the supervision of Manipur Veteran Football Association (MVFA) at Mapal Kangjeibung after overcoming FLAM Babupara through a solitary goal on Thursday.

The first semifinal match raised to the occasion and both the match each other in every aspects of the game.

Majority of the first half play was confined in the middle of the field as both the teams tried to mount serious offensive against other.

The first half could not see any goals.

After change of ends, the mode of play continues however the tempo of the match increases.

Inspide of increase in pace goal was not in sight and it appears that the result will be decided through tie breaker.

However, a defensive error in the 58th min by FLAM defenders undone all the hard works.

Th Krishna lapped on the defensive error and produces a goal for FC Imphal.

The goal stunned FLAM players but they tried to come back in the match.

FLAM effort could not be materialized as time was not in the favor and they had to settle second best in the match.

At the end of the match, FC Imphal became a title contender with 1-0 victory and will face the winner of VSAI and UVSA.
