Imphal, January 20 2013 : On the second day of the 10th DGAR Cup State equestrian championship at Imphal Pologround today, K Romeo Meitei of Khurai Polo club bagged the gold medal in senior men's tent pegging sword (individual) competition with a total haul of 27.50 (RT-8.61) points ahead of L Maniketan Singh (27.50/RT-10.52) of Chingkheihunba Polo Club.

KRYPSA's Robert and P Premjit of Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club finished third and fourth respectively.

In show jumping event of the 4th IGAR (S) Junior State championship at the same venue, Camaron of Eastern Students' Club, S sarat Singh of ThYC and L Atangba of ChPC finished first, second and third respectively with E Robin of ChPC securing the fourth position.

On the opening day yesterday, N Jel Singh of ChPC wrested the senior tent pegging (individual) title with a tally of 30 points as S Deepak Singh of KRYPSA secured the second position, ahead of Th Kaoba of ChPC (3rd) and I Sachindra Singh (4th) of Nambul Mapal Polo Club.

On final day of the Championship a musical tribute on Manipuri polo, pony and equestrian sports on Manipur pony will be presented by renowned Manipuri artistes from 12 noon on January 22, informed a PRO IGAR (S) release.
