YDCL-A to meet Sekta FC in final showdown of 5th Emoinu Trophy

Imphal, December 19 2018: YDDC-A, Pungdongbam will be meeting Sekta FC on December 22 in the ultimate clash of the 5th Emoinu Trophy Football Tournament, 2018 organised jointly by Youth Paradise Club, Gwaltabi; Youth Progressive Front Yaingangpokpi; Youth Development Club, Thamnapokpi and Sanasabi Youth Club, Sanasabi.

Sekta FC reached the final of the tournament beating YDC-B.Thamnapokpi by 3-2 goals in a very competitive semifinal clash yesterday.

Both Sekta FC and YDC-B fought closely throughout the game and it was M Sanjit of YDC-B who found the net early in the 9th minute and put his team ahead with a 1-0 lead.

The lead did not last long as N Henry of Sekta FC came up with an equaliser 6 minutes latter.

YDC-B got yet another chance to take the lead with Silky taking the shot this time.

The Sekta side fought back valiantly and it was S Bishwajit who drew level in the 25th minute before N Johnson broke the deadlock in the 37th minute to help Sekta FC cruised to a 3-2 win.
