Imphal, December 19 2014 : AIM Khabam and NACO Nambul Mapal stepped into the next round of 58th edition of Sir Churachand Singh KCSI, CBE Memorial Football Tournament organised by All Manipur Football Association at Mapal Kangjeibung.

In the first match today, AIM defeated JSYC Sadar Hills in penalty shoot out and thus entered in the pre-quarterfinals of the CC Meet.

In the very first second minutes, AIM opened the scoring through H Naoba but the lead was overturned by JSYC with two goals from Seineo and Seiboi.

Seineo scored in the 12th minute and Seiboi added the other goal via a penalty shoot awarded against the handling of Boboisana inside the box to make 2-1 lead for JSYC at the interval.

H Piyabung leveled the tally in the 63rd minute.

At the end of the normal time and in extra time also, both the teams could not contribute victorious goals to the score-sheet, and the match had to be decided by tiebreak.

Thangminlien and Seiminlun from JSYC side and H Piyabung of AIM failed to score during the penalty shoot-out.

However, the match was won by AIM over JSYC by 2+4 to 2+3 .

Amajit's superb heading in the dying minute of the second match enabled NACO to beat DMRAO Sekmai by 1-0 to enter the next round of the biggest football event of the state.

After a drab first half, S Amarjit headed the winning goal for NACO in the 88th minute of the match.
