SDAU Trophy : Sanjenbam FC seal quarterfinal berth with huge 6-1 win

Imphal, June 19 2018: Sanjenbam FC thrashed Langthabal FC 6-1 to seal their last 8 round berth of the 1 st State Level 7-A-side Village Open Football Tournament being organised by SDAU, Tekcham at Tekcham High School Ground.

In another pre-quarter final clash staged today, AAFC Angtha rode on Malemnganba's brace to shine over FC Lamjao by 3-1 goals.

Premjit of Sanjenbam FC starred the match as he scored a hattrick to hand his team a dominating 6-1 victory after a bright start.

Premjit hit the opener in the 7th minute of the match before he scored his second in the 36th minute.

Ajit of the same team scored the second goal in the 26th minute while Jekop made it 4-0 in the 40th minute.

The onslaught continued with Dhanachandra scoring the 5th goal in the 46th minute while Premjit completed his hattrick in the 59th minute before Sunin of Langthabal FC pulled back a goal the very next minute.

Naobi of Langthabal FC was yellow carded early in the 2nd minute.

In the second match of the day, Olen of AAFC opened up in the 10th minute while Malemnganba struck the two goals for his team in the 36th and the 37th minute of the match to put his team ahead with a 3-0 lead.

The single goal of the Lamjao side were struck by Joyson in the 38th minute.

Suraj of AAFC and Sarat of FC Lamjao were booked yellow card in the 39th and the 40+2 minute for their unsporting behaviours.
