Imphal, September 18 2011: IGAR Cup Golf Tournament was organized by Mantripukhri Ecological Park & Training Area (MEPTA) under HQ IGAR (South) Assam Rifles on 18 Sep 2011 .

A total of 39 participants took part in the tournament under three teams MEPTA, MGA (Mantripukhri Golf Association) and RSEPTA.

Best gross and overall championship was won by Mr K Inderjeet Singh whereas Mr Raj Chandra was the runner up.

Individual prizes were won by Havildar Parshuram Singh (Maximum Par), Brig Upendra Dwivedi and Col Rajeev Nagyal (Maximum birdie), Maj Gen CA Krishnan, AVSM, (Straight drive).

The overall trophy for IGAR 2011 was won by Mr K Inderjeet Singh and joint runners up were Brig HPS Pal and Col Vikram Singh.

Maj Gen C A Krishnan, AVSM as the Chief Guest of the occasion, gave away the prizes to the winners.

Mr M Lala, Vice President, MGA appreciated Assam Rifles immence contribution in extending facilities of MEPTA to the civil society, according to a press release by PRO IGAR (S) .
