Nagaland held by Assam as Tripura, Mizoram split points

Nagaland Wild Hogs were held to a 3-3 draw by Assam Rhinosas Tripura Pythons and Mizoram Black Bears split points in a 1 1 stalem ate in the 1st North East Women's Football League on Monday.
Nagaland squandered their commanding three goal lead to end up settling for a point each with Assam.
The Wild Hogs were dominant through the early stag es of the second half before the Rhinos sprang a surprise on the former.
Nene K put Nagaland ahead in the 28th minute as H Shangki Konyak doubled the lead in the space of six minutes, heading into the second period.
After the interval, the Wild Hogs continued their oftensive and set up Nene K to drill home her second and team's third goal in the 55th minute.
In a dramatic turn of events, Assam crawled back into con tention as Sunila reduced the deficit in the 70th minute and Pakhila further narrow down the arrears when she found the back of the net in the 75 th minute.
Then Sunila struck in her second goal in the78th minute and that eventually salvaged a 3-3 draw for the Rhinos.
In the day's other match, Tripura and Mizoram ended their match in a 1 1 tie.
Tripura took the lead in the 32nd minute through Sampili Jamatia but Mizoram found the leveller in the 57th minute through Grace Hill rampari for the eventual result.
Hosts Manipur Sangais arc well placed at the top of the point table with 16 points as Sikkim Pandas (14) trail behind with 14 points.
Arunachal will face Sikkim while Manipur play Meghalaya on Tuesday July 19 .
