Inter GC Badminton and Athletics Championship begins

Imphal, June 18 2018: Inter GC Adm/Ops Bn Badminton and Athletics Championship 2018 organised by Group Centre Langjing Imphal kicked off at the Group Centre in the presense of Rajeshkumar, IPS, IGP Manipur and Nagaland Sector as chief guest.

I Lekhendra, DIGP, Group Centre CRPF Langjing, other officers and personnel of the unit attended the opening ceremony.

9 Battalions and Group Centres of Nagaland and Manipur Sector will take part in 16 athletics events, under 45 years open Badminton competition and above 45 years open Badminton competition.

Rajeshkumar who inaugurated the championship lauded the selfless services and sacrifices made by CRPF for the country on the occasion.

In the open doubles match of Badminton competition staged today, O Sunil Singh and S Sanayaima of 32 Bn beat KG Kom and K Sanjoy of 69 Bn 21-15, 21-17 .

In another match Bhaskar and Kala of 78 Bn edged past Biju and Sunilchandra of 143 Bn 21-16, 13-21, 23-21.In the third match, 32 Bn's Abikey Singh and Bobby Singh got better of Panmei and Chandan of 173 Bn 21-9, 21-10 .
