Hockey: Date set for U-15 boys & U-17 girls finals

Imphal, March 18 2021: The final line up for 9th Y Rashmani Memorial U-15 Boys Hockey Tournament completed today.

The tournament is being organised by YCCIC, Kontha Ahallup, Imphal East.

The final match will see Hockey Union (HU), Lairikyengbam Leikai taking on the host team YCCIC-B for the U-15 boy's title on March 21 at 2 pm.

In the first semi-final staged today, HU had a comfortable 7-1 win against MLHU, Mayai Lambi.

S Neetle found the opener for HU 10th minute into the game, following which compatriots M Manimatum (24', 27', 50' and 59') and W Debris (31', 54') struck 6 more goals to book the final ticket.

The lone goal of the losing side came from K Sanjit in the 28th minute.

Meanwhile, in the second semi-final, YCCIC sealed a landslide 8-0 victory against SYUC, Uchekon.

YCCIC scored two goals in the 2nd quarter, 3 goals in the 3rd quarter and 4 in the final quarter to take home the win.

The top scorer of the match was W Rohit as he scored 4 goals in the 19th, 31st, 33rd and 47th minute.

The remaining goals of the host team were scored by L Pritam, (32', 49'); S Rishi (27') and Sh Bidyacharan (55') .

On the other hand, SYUC, Ucheckon will compete against YCCIC (B) for the U-17 girls title on March 21 at 8 am .
