YPHU, AKSDO script similar wins in N Rajningthou Memorial Trophy

YPHU, Lalambung Makhong and AKSDO, Khangabok earned their first group stage victories in the ongoing 3rd MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy 2021-22 today.
YPHU were able to register a 3 wicket win over ESU, Wangkhei here at YCWO ground, Heinoupok today as Bishworaj Sharma enjoyed a three wicket haul to inhibit ESU from posting a huge total.
Let to bat first, ESU bundled out for 80 in 15.5 overs after Bishworaj (3/10 in 6 overs) and Amrendra (3/7 in 2 overs) devastated their batting line up snaring three wickets each and Birbal (2/24) and Prince Kumar (2/9 in 3 overs) shared two wickets each.
Donba with 12 runs, was the highest run getter ESU had today before YPHU cruised to winning 81 for 7 in 14.2 overs courtesy Birbal (10), Prince Kumar (13), Abdul Kiaf (19) and Eshwar (10) .
Simesh and Donba of ESU were able to clinch two wickets each in this innings as Abhinash and Naoba ended up sharing a wicket each.
Eventually, Bishworaj of YPHU was named man of the match.
Meanwhile at ABA ground in Kshetrigao, AKSDO thrashed Model Club by 5 wickets for their first win in the Group D campaign.
AKSDO won the toss and successfully restricted Model Club to 137 for 6 in the allocated 30 overs after letting the later to bat first.
S Benjohn (28) and Biyon Naorem (29) emerged notable Model Club batters today after top order crumbled in quick succession while Riajuddin and I Tonton managed 10 runs each.
AKSDO bowlers, S Lanchenba (2/20 in 4 overs) and S Kaiku (2/25 in 5 overs) clinched two wickets each as Sanayai N and L Nirash earned a wicket each in this innings before M Albert (23), L Samson (20) and N Sanayai (32) stood first to steer AKSDO to 139 for 5 in the chase.
Model Club's Md Riajuddin (2/23) and Bisal Ng (2/30) picked two wickets each as Prithiviraj Th claimed one.
Sanayai Ningthoujam who scored 32 runs and bagged a wicket was adjudged man of the match.
