YUCC register six wicket win over UCC in Veteran Cricket

Imphal, December 17 2024: YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel pulled off a 6 wicket win over UCC, Uripok in a Group B league match of the ongoing 21 st Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament today at Langthabal Public Ground.

UCC won the toss and opted to bat first.

They were however bundled out for 152 runs in 28.2 overs as Nishikanta (3/23), Noushad (2/15) and Khalique (2/34) combined well for YUCC.

YUCC then chased down the target in 23.5 overs with 6 wickets left to spare thanks to Shivananda's 53-ball 63 and significant contributions from Noushad Ali (22), Manikumar (25 not out), and Risk (15) .

For UCC, Jugal (2/28) and Bhogen (2/32) shared four wickets in a lost cause.

Nishikanta who led the YUCC bowling department was eventually adjudged player of the match.
