Unity Utsav 2025 continues with sporting events

Imphal, February 17 2025:
Day 3 of Unity Utsav 2025, the dynamic celebration of sportsmanship and cultural unity, concluded successfully today with intense matches and inspiring performances.
Organized by Assam Rifles in collaboration with the North East Association for Social Welfare (NEASW), the five-day event continues to draw enthusiastic participation from over 1,000 athletes representing the eight Northeastern States, said PRO IGAR (S) in a press release.
The third day of the event was filled with sporting events held across multiple venues in Delhi.

Volleyball and athletic events were held at Raj Rif Centre while Badminton and Basketball events were held at Harbaksh Stadium, it said.
Meanwhile Football was organised at both the Raj Rif Centre & Harbaksh Stadium, it said.
The day ended with a celebration of sporting excellence, reinforcing the spirit of camaraderie and competition that defines Unity Utsav 2025, it said.
Students and athletes from across the Northeastern States expressed immense gratitude to Assam Rifles for organizing an event of this scale.
Many participants have acknowledged that Unity Utsav 2025 has provided them with a unique platform to showcase their talent, foster friendships, and experience a grand stage of competition, it said.
They lauded Assam Rifles for its unwavering support in promoting sports and cultural exchange, strengthening bonds between the region and the rest of the country, it added.
As the festival progresses, audiences can look forward to more exhilarating sports events.
Additionally, a special cultural evening on 20th February at Manekshaw Center, Delhi Cantt, will showcase the vibrant traditions, music, and dance of Northeast India, offering a glimpse into its rich cultural heritage, it said.
Unity Utsav 2025 continues to be a testament to the spirit of unity and athleticism, bringing together participants and supporters in a shared celebration of sports and culture, it added.
