CRAU claim 15 runs win over IWVCC

Imphal, December 01 2015: CRAU, Khamnam Bazar clinched a narrow 15 run victory against Imphal West Veteran Cricket Club (IWVCC)in the ongoing 13th Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament organised by the Manipur Veteran Cricket Association (MVCA), today atLangthabal Ground, Imphal West.

Opting to bat first, CRAU set a 161 target with two wickets in hand.

Bobby was the star player of CRAU as he slammed 41 runs off 27 balls while Robindro (35), Tombi (29) were the other notable contributors.

M Pratap took 3 wickets as W Sanjoy and K Deepak pulled two wickets each for IWVCC.

On the other hand, IWVCC went down fighting at 145 runs with all men down.

K Laiba 36 runs off 62 balls was the highest scorer while the other notable scorers of IWVCC were Gyanaranjan (13), Dhamendra (12) and Shawat (11) .

CRAU bowler Premjit's brilliant effort saw him tak-ing four wickets while Hiramani and Rameshwor also bagged three wickets each.

Premjit of CRAU was awarded the man of the match title.

Model Club-A, Chaingamkha will play with KSC, New Lambuland tomorrow.
