Massive win for Thoubal over Ukhrul on day-I

Imphal, July 15 2014: A team of Thoubal blanked out Ukhrul by 7-0 goals in the opening match of the State Level Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament 2014 for both U-14 and 17 years boys held at Artificial Turf Ground, Khuman Lampak, Imphal today.

Krishnadas of the winning team of Thoubal scored the first goal of the match in the very first 4th minute.

It was later followed by team mate Robinson in the 15th minute.

Few minutes later, team mate Jugesh contributed 2 match winning goals in the 18th and 57th minute.

After that Pinku added 2 more goals in the 23rd and 28th minute.

Team mate Netaji also added 1 goal in the 55th minute of the match.

Chandel and Bishnupur clashed in the second match of Group-B.However, Bishnupur won the match by 6-2 goals.

Raju of the triumphant team of Bishnupur scored the first goal in the 6th minute.

Team mate N.Rabi contributed 1 goal.

As the match went on, team mate Yaiphaba turned out to be the lone player who contributed a hat trick winning remarkable 3 goals in the 7th, 57th and 58th minute.

A goal came from team mate Joshdash in the 60th minute also helped in booking a place for another match of the tournament.

In the third match, Senapati drubbed Kangpokpi by 2-0 goals.

Ngamsui of Senapati scored all the match winning goals of his team in the 29th and 36th minute.

Whereas in the U-17 Boys category of the tournament played at Practice Ground, Khuman Lampak, Chandel defeated Thoubal by 2-0 goals.

Roland and Naoba of Chandel contributed 1 winning goal each in the 9th and 27th minute.

Churachandpur was blanked out Tamenglong by 15-0 goals in the second match.

Phungtanlian of Churachandpur scored 2 goals in the 4th and 29th minute.

Later on, team mate John added 4 goals in the 14th, 32nd, 44th and 20th minute.

Davind, Daniel Kambiong and Elevel also contributed 1 goal each in the 19th, 23rd, 25th and 45th minute.

Lalhmangaizam scored a hat trick in the 28th, 39th and 53rd minute.

The scoring spree of the team was continued by team mate Paoginmuan who fetched 2 goals in the 50th and 60th minute.

In the third match, IE crushed Jiribam by 6-0 goals.

James of IE scored the opening goal of the match in the 21st minute.

Chingkhei added 2 more goals in the 27th and 29th minute.

Lalnao, Thangam and Siraj also contributed 1 goal each in the 31st, 55th and 57th minute.
