Imphal, February 15 2016: MLA of Uripok Assembly Constituency L Nandakumar distributed table tennis board and other sports equip- ment today at his official quarter at Lamphel to eight different units/ clubs located in the constituency. Procured with the Local Area Development Funds, Nandakumar stated that the indoor sports equipment were distributed with an objective to groom indoor sports persons. Among the vast disciplines of indoor sports, table tennis is best suited for Manipuri youths, he added. Selected eight clubs have the required infrastructure to maintain such equipment.

Plans to introduce or develop gyms in the constituency are in the offing, he said. He urged the people of his constituency to extend their support in developing sportsmen .
