FC Zalen to meet SK Soccer in Khanglai Meet final showdown

Kangpokpi, March 14 2016: Defending champions FC Zalen, Sadar Hills set up a clash in the final against SK Soccer, Churachandpur in the 4th Khanglai Meet under the aegis of District Sports Association, Sadar Hills on March 16 at Saikul playground.

In the first semifinal match today, defending champions FC Zalen clinched a narrow 1-0 win against DM Rao.

Bedamper scored the solitary winning goal of FC Zalen in the 45th minute to book a final berth in the tournament.

In another semifinal match, SK Soccer, Churachandpur blanked JSYC by a margin of 2 goals to nil.

Thangtinlen scored both the winning goals of SK Soccer in the 40th and 60th minute.

IFC Minister Ngamthang Haokip will grace the closing ceremony of the meet as chief guest while local MLA Yamthong Haokip and ADC Sadar Hills Vice Chairman, Thangjakam Misao will attend as functional president and guest of honour respectively.
