Stage set for semi-finals of 39th State Junior Volleyball tourney

Imphal, November 13 2019: The semi-final line up of the 39th Junior State Volleyball Tournament being hosted by HYDCCL, Heigrujam at its court under the aegis of All Manipur Volleyball Association was completed today with the hosts; KYLSC, Kachikhul; NYVA, Naorem and YMDO, Heirangoithong earning victories in the quarter final matches.

The first quarter final match of the tournament saw NYVA thrash IGO, Oinam in straight sets.

The contest was a piece of cake as NYVA dominated right from the opening set and ultimately eased to a 25-13, 25-11, 25-6 to earn the last 4 round berth.

KYLSC too produced a dominating side to rout SDC, Samurou 29-19, 25-13, 25-20 to book a place in the last four stage.

YMDO then overwhelmed KLYGC, Kangmong 25-14, 25-16, 25-19 before HYDCCL romped past YPA, Hiyanglam Hiranmei in straight sets (25-14, 30-28, 25-18) to complete the semi-final line up.

KYLSC will be meeting HYDCCL in the first semi-final tomorrow at 8 am before NYVA fight YMDO for the final berth latter at 2 pm .
