CUBC all set to meet MTFT in semi final of DC Cup

Chandel, November 12 2015: Chothe United Brothers Chumbang (CUBC) is all set to meet Manipur Terriers Football (MTFT) in the semi final match of the 2nd Chandel DC Cup 2015 going on at Japhou's Maha Union Govt Hr Sec school ground on November 14 .

CUBC and MTFT have qualified for the semis after downing their respective rival team Paentha FC and Kings 11 Chandel team in today's quarter final match.

CUBC's Kanthanglen (7), solitary goal during the 42nd minute of the match became a significant turning point for his team CUBC to help defeat Paentha FC by 1-0 .

On the other hand, MTFT beat Kings 11 Chandel team 6-5 via penalty shoot out after the match during the normal time ended in a goalless draw.

Even though, Paentha FC, who played against CUBC in the first quarter final match of the day, demonstrated a fine game that favours the team with fair golden chances, opportunities and lots of advantages coming on their way to the game, they missed and lost them all including a penalty kick which was awarded in their favour by the referee.

Meanwhile, Manipur Terriers Football Team (MTFT) taking on a well coordinated team Kings 11 Chandel during the second match of the day was seen playing a hard -time difficult game going in the dominance of its rival.

Both teams right from the start played a fast game associated with short and long passes.

Good attacks and counter attacks were equally launched.

However, when it comes to score, strikers and forwards of both the teams went on losing the chances and advantages they got.

Both defenders of the team were seen doing good job thwarting attempts and chances of one after another.

It was during the penalty shoot out when two players of Kings 11 Chandel team missed the target by kicking out of the net to make MTFT whose player too kick out of the net, won the game by 6-5 .

On November 13, Ksenpa FC will take on Kathumpam FC in the first semi final match scheduled at 2 pm.
