2nd MNCA U-15 Women One Day Trophy : Viviene Laishram smashes 177 to steer SHADOW to 194-run victory

Imphal, February 12 2025: Viviene Laishram scored 33 boundaries enroute to her 96-ball 177 as SHADOW, Thangmeiband demolished MPA, Thounaojam by 194 runs at PCC ground, Mayaikoibi today in the ongoing 2nd MNCA U-15 Women's One Day Trophy.

Opting to bat first, SHADOW erected a monumental total of 311 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 30 overs and bundled out MPA for 117 runs in 23.5 overs to seal their third win in as many as 7 matches of the 9-team age group tournament.

Viviene Laishram struck 29 fours and 4 sixes off 96 balls to contribute 177 runs to SHADOW's tally as Smita Kangabam added 54 off 62-balls and MPA bowlers conceded 58 extras.

Yumnam Echapamu (2/50), Salaingambi Thokchom (2/43) and Chongtham Rushita (1/27) were among the wickets for MPA in this innings.

In the chase, none of the MPA batters could score double digit runs as Moirangthem Bebenao (3/16) and Sagatpam Henthoibi (3/24) of SHADOW shared 6 wickets and Chandam Priyadashini picked two wickets (2/6) .

Victoria Thokchom (1/19) and Hanglem Malemnganbi (1/18) also chipped in with a wicket apiece for SHADOW to make sure MPA got dismissed for just 117 runs.

Viviene Laishram who starred with the bat was eventually adjudged player of the match.
