FootGal Day-3: CDS FC, LSC victory; SVEEP 18 + out of race

CCpur, October 11 2019: , Oct 11 (): In tonight's first match of the ongoing FootGal 2019 organised by District Administration, Churachandpur at Rayburn high School campus, CDS FC romped to a convincing 3-0 win over KV Churachandpur.

The match saw an interesting start as the two sides displayed grit and determination to find the lead.

Although CDS FC forwards mounted pressure on their rivals defence line, they could not easily find the breakthrough even after creating umpteen chances.

However, their efforts paid dividends when Nianghoihkim Tonsing slotted home the opener at the fag end of the first half.

After the restart, CDS FC continued playing the offensive and Nianghoihkim Tonsing was at it again in the 25th minute.

Chinglianchin struck another goal in the 28th minute to seal the match in style.

The second match of the day saw SVEEP 18+ being shown the exit door of the tournament as they suffered a 12-0 humbling defeat at the hands of big contenders Lamka Sports Club (LSC).

Ch Bimola Chanu (8 goals), Lalvarmawi (3 goals), and Kimngaihawmi (one goal) struck to propel LSC into the next round.

Meanwhile, HoMES FA and Phualva FC registered narrow wins against their respective opponents in last night's last two matches.

HoMES FC blanked FC Miljoulou by a margin of 2 goals to nil courtesy Laishram Rejiya Devi (26th minute) and Sarah Lalruatdiki Conley(28th minute) .

In the 5th round yesterday, Phualva FC registered a narrow win against Chelsea FC.

T Angela's goal in the 7th minute proved enough for Phualva FC to earn full points for her team.
