SDO win Kakching 1st Div League 2024

Imphal, July 11 2024: SDO (Pallel) emerged champions of the 20th KK Memorial 1st Division Football League 2024 after they played out a goalless draw with SFC (Sugnu) on the last day of the tournament at DSA Kakching playfield on Thursday.

Following the 0-0 stalemate, SDO wrapped up their campaign unbeaten, securing 11 points from their five games that saw three wins and two draws, enough to seal the title.

SFC trailed by one point for second place after three wins, one draw and one loss.

AKSA finished third with nine points, followed by AIFA (6 pts),DYA (3) and JA (3) .

Among the individual prize winners were SDO's Kishan Singh (best goalkeeper), SFC's M Ronald (best defender), SDO's S Somez (best midfielder), AIFA's Renedy (highest scorer), DYA's W Shibadash (highest scorer) and SDO's S Berish (best player), while DYA received the fair play team award.

SDO (Pallel) and SFC (Sugnu) earned promotion for the next Kakching Super League Division season.
