Govt announces cash reward for NFC champs, AMFA thanks

Imphal, December 10 2021: Expressing joy over State team clinching the "Hero Senior Women's National Football Championship" title yesterday, Manipur Chief Minister has announced cash rewards to every team member this morning.

The Chief Minister took to his Facebook wall to congratulate the State team on winning the "Hero Senior Women's National Football Championship" after a dramatic penalty shootout against Railways.

"Manipur salutes the entire Women's Football team as well as their coaches for their excellent performance and winning the Senior Women's NFC Title at Kozhikode," he wrote.

"In recognition of their excellent overall performance, the Government of Manipur has decided to reward each and every team member and their coaches Rs 5 lakh each," he added.

Expressing pride over the State team, the Chief Minister also wished them to, keep shining.

Meanwhile, the All Manipur Football Association, expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for the reward to the members of the State team who were crowned champions of the National Football Championship yesterday.
