Imphal, August 10 2024: Manipur will lock horns against Telangana in the title clash of the Junior Boys National Football Championship for Dr BC Roy Trophy 2024-25 Tier II hosted by Assam in Nagaon.

Manipur made it to the final with a 3-1 win over Arunachal Pradesh in the first semi-final match yesterday at Nurul Amin Stadium, Nagaon.

Hanu Tari gave Arunachal Pradesh an early lead with a freak second minute goal but Manipur Md Arish Khan and Md Mansur Alam slammed home three goals in the last 20 minutes to devastate Arunachal Pradesh.

Mansur Alam emerged hero as he scored the equaliser in the 70th minute and the decisive goal 2 minutes into the stoppage time (90+2') after Md Arish Khan overturned the lead in the 76th minute.

They will meet Telangana, who defeated Jammu and Kashmir 2-0 in the second semi-final match, in the title clash tomorrow afternoon (3 pm) .
