State League: SSU, TRUGPU end in draw

Imphal, September 07 2014: A dying minute shot from TRUGPU's player forced to end the first match in a draw of the ongoing 9th Manipur State League 2014 being organised by All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) under the sponsorship of MLA Khumukcham Joykisan at Mapal Kangjeibung here today.

L Devan of SSU, Singjamei opened the score account of the match in the 12th minute and made the scoreboard 1-0 against TRUGPU Nambol till the first half time.

MD Riyajkhan added another goal in the 81st minute in favour of SSU.

In the last minute of the match, L Ratan of TRUGPU opened their goal account but they were one goal behind the SSU at the end of the normal time.

In the 3rd minute of the added time, a superb shot from H Birjit of TRUGPU forced the match to end in draw.

L Devan of SSU, Y Inao and L Ratan of TRUGPU were shown yellow cards for their unsporting behavior during the match.

In another match, NACO Nambul Mapal upset USA Khurai by 2-1 goals.

Ch Risk's score in 3rd minute made the USA Khurai one goal lead till the break time.

In the 2nd minute of the second half, Milankumar of NACO equalized the score.

Later on, teammate contributed another goal in 54th minute to defeat USA by 2-1 goals.

P Bikram of NACO was booked yellow card during the match.

AIM Khabam will fight NEROCA at 12:30 pm while FC Khanglai will take on MPSC at 2:30 pm tomorrow.
