4th MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament : RCA inflict THAU 175-run defeat; YESSDAN, SDO return to winning ways

RCA, Lilong cruised to their third straight win as YESSDAN, Ningthoukhong and SDO, Keirao Makting returned to winning ways in the ongoing 4th MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament 2024-25 .
At Lairenjam Public Ground, RCA sealed their third straight Group B victory by handing THAU a 175-run defeat.
RCA won the toss and gathered 244/5 in 30 overs after electing to bat first thanks to half centuries from Heibokmayum Lucky Ahmed (73 off 65 balls) and Sahed Ahmed (65 off 44 balls) and 43 extras.
They successfully defended their total by bowling out THAU for 69 runs within 26.1 overs riding on leading bowling performances from Nongjaimayum Masud Alam (3/7), B Lucky Ahmed (2/16) and Farhan Ahmed (2/12) .

Only Konthoujam Tomthinganba on 31 was the double digit run getter for THAU in the chase.
Lucky Ahmed was eventually adjudged player of the match.
In a Group E match staged at PTRC ground, Patsoi Part IV, YESSDAN crushed RNEF, Mayang Imphal by 225 runs for the second win in three matches riding on Oinam Jeenivash's five-for (5/10 in 5 overs that include 2 maidens) .
Thoudam Newton (3/1 in 2 overs) and Laishram Giri (2/14) also shared 5 wickets to dismantle RNEF for a lowly total of 38 runs in 22 overs after YESSDAN erected 263 runs for 2 wickets courtesy of half century knocks from Manao Salam (78 off 73 balls), Maisnam Anderson (77 off 89 balls) and 45 from Heisnam Bungo Singh.
O Jeenivash was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Kongba Dhobi Lampak, RULE ended their two game losing streak in the Group F competition by defeating CHAMP Cricket Club, Khagempalli by 9 wickets .
CHAMP CC opted to bat first but were dismissed for 33 runs in 13.2 overs as Ng Nongpoknganba (4/5) and Ganjit Thangjam (4/14) shared 8 wickets of RULE ran riot across their line up.
RULE then cruised to the target in 6.4 overs thanks to 28 extras conceded by CHAMP CC bowlers.
Ng Nongpoknganba was adjudged player of the match.
Meanwhile in a Group A match, SDO, Keirao Makting overwhelmed CYSA, Khangabok by 8 wickets for the second win in three matches.
CYSA, opting to bat first, added 94 runs before being bowled out in 14.3 overs as Epham Md Suhel Ahamed and Epham Ajmir (3/30) of SDO were in brilliant forms today before Sangomshumpham Amzad 29 and Epham Md Suhel 10 finished off the chase by taking the team to winning 98 in 17 overs.
Ningthoujam Abungcha scored the highest 41 for CYSA in the first innings before claiming two wickets in a lost cause.
Epham Md Suhel who produced an allround performance was adjudged player of the match.
