BBA dominate first day of State Level Judo Cship

Imphal, December 05 2024: BBA's judokas shone on the opening day of the State Level Judo Championship 2024-25, which got underway at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium on Thursday.

BBA produced a strong showing on the first day by winning five gold medals courtesy of Th Ningthemba (senior men's 81kg category), K Bishal (senior men's 73kg), Ningthoujam Shee-tal (senior men's -90kg), L Monalish (senior women's -48kg) and L Nganthoi (senior women's -52kg) .

In addition to the gold medals, BBA collected two silver medals.

Th Suraj claimed silver medal in the senior men's 60kg catego -ry, while Th Ningthemba earned silver in the senior men's 81kg category.

The opening ceremony was attended by T Phulen Meitei, director YAS, and Bijoy Koijam, former minister & president MJA, as chief guest and president, respectively.

The State Level Judo Championship 2024-25 is being organised by Manipur Judo Association (MJA) .
