District Level Yoga Olympiad 2022 to be conducted

Imphal, May 05 2022: District Level Yoga Olympiad 2022 will be held at Khangabok Higher Secondary School on May 14 at 10:30 am.

A statement from Arambam Anilkumar, ZEO, Zone-III, Thoubal has shared that the aforementioned Olympiad will be divided into two categories: Category A for upper primary students (Class VI to VIII) and Category B for secondary students (Class IX to X) .

It may be noted that candidates for the State Level Yoga Olympiad will be selected through District Level Yoga Olympiad 2022 .

The Olympiad will cover the following yogic practices - Kriya (cleaning process), Asanas, Pranayama, Dhyana (meditation, not for evaluation), Bandhaand Mudra (only for secondary level) .

"At the end of the District Level Yoga Olympiad 2022, 16 students, comprising of 8 students per category (4 boys and 4 girls) will be selected for the State Level Yoga Olympiad which will be held at Johnstone Secondary School on May 21- 22 .

Further, the ZEO has urged the head of institutions of Govt and Govt aided schools to submit the relevant documents of the students before May 12 at the office of the ZEO, Thoubal.
